AES, part of the Avantis Group, has successfully delivered a major engine overhaul in Abu Dhabi for a leading National Oil Company. The project involved the refurbishment of a Ruston 12RK270 Fire Water Pump, a medium-speed diesel engine that plays a critical role in fire water pump systems and overall site safety.

Project Scope and Highlights

The complete overhaul was carried out at AES’s workshop in Abu Dhabi and included:

• Replacement of all major engine internals – liners, pistons, piston rings, and bearings
• Overhaul of oil coolers for optimal performance
• Supply and installation of a new Napier turbocharger
• Full rebuild using genuine OEM parts to ensure long-term performance and integrity
• Final painting, quality assurance checks, and shipment back to site.
