The project involved the refurbishment of a Ruston 12RK270 Fire Water Pump, a medium-speed diesel engine that plays a critical role in fire water pump systems and overall site safety.
Project Scope and Highlights
The complete overhaul was carried out at AES’s workshop in Abu Dhabi and included:
- Replacement of all major engine internals – liners, pistons, piston rings, and bearings
- Overhaul of oil coolers for optimal performance
- Supply and installation of a new Napier turbocharger
- Full rebuild using genuine OEM parts to ensure long-term performance and integrity
- Final painting, quality assurance checks, and shipment back to site.
