Avantis Group Announces Strategic Investment from Leon Capital to Accelerate Global Growth

Avantis Group, a global consultancy specialising in low-carbon engineering and lifecycle solutions for the marine, offshore, and power generation industries, has secured a strategic investment from Leon Capital LLP, a London-based European private equity firm. This partnership will fuel Avantis’ international expansion and strengthen its ability to deliver sustainable infrastructure and decarbonisation strategies across key global markets.

Avantis will continue to be led by CEO Thomas David, Chairman Chris David, and the existing leadership team, who retain both a controlling interest and full operational oversight of the business. Their leadership has been instrumental since the 2022 management buyout, supported in part by the Development Bank of Wales, which set the foundations for Avantis’ strategic transformation.

The backing from Leon Capital will enable Avantis to accelerate its next phase of growth, focusing on scaling operations, enhancing technical depth, and broadening service capacity. Strategic priorities include investing in talent, digital capabilities, and infrastructure to deepen support for maritime and energy clients, while also advancing our expansion into high-growth sectors such as digital infrastructure and defence.
